In the recent times of tremendous technological advancement, all the sources of information and knowledge are being digitized and all the services are being electronically managed and delivered. Library has also seen transformation from manual library to e-library. We, at Kalaniketan Polytechnic College, are providing e-library facilities to our students.
Our electronic library or e-library has broadly two sections. The first section is about the Library automation system for management and circulation of paperback books. KOHA software is installed and being used to manage the inventory of books and circulation of books for staff and all admitted students of college.
The second section is the Digital Library which comprises of e-books, e-journals, e-research papers, e-thesis, e-learning material etc. in text, audio, PPT, video formats. Digital Library can be accessed from library or else from anywhere through internet to authorized students and staff.
- RGPV CENTRAL LIBRARY has provided free access to e-books in Engineering and Science Domain for students and staff of all Government Engineering Colleges and Polytechnics affiliated to RGPV.
- The students and Faculty can download “RGPV Digital Library “App on their Android smart phones and get access to 85 Engineering and Science e-books.
- The students and Faculty can download “Pearson e-library “App on their Android smart phones and get access to 66 Engineering and Science e-books.
- Our college is member of NDL, National Digital Library. All the students and staff can register and benefit from the learning material from NDL from their site https://ndl.iitkgp.ac.in
- Our institute is also member of SHODHGANGA, which is a repository of research papers. The faculty and staff can access research papers of various fields.
